Packing

I spent days and days packing, from a master list I had prewritten. I had finally gotten close to the end when my husband got home from work. He took his stuff out of the drawer and put it in the suitcase. Elapsed time: about 45 seconds.

That sounds like the way my husband and I pack too, except I don't start in advance. I end up staying up all night the night before we go anywhere, and then I sleep on the plane. You would think I would learn to plan better, but so far, I haven't. I want to blame the 'betes since I have to remember all the supplies and back-up everything, but even without that, I think I'd still be up half the night.
